Project Provinces: Round three targets seven provinces (Anhui, Hebei, Shandong, Henan, Hubei, Shanxi, Shaanxi) where there is a concentration of HIV cases caused by paid plasma donations in the early and mid-1990s. VCT services and community-based counseling services will also be introduced.
Expected Results (by 31 August 2009): 300,000 within project area request VCT; more than 90% of HIV+ people in project areas have access to care and OI treatment; and 90% of HIV+ in project areas who are ready for ARV treatment (anticipated to be around 40,000 people) are receiving it.
