Hunan finds 999 new AIDS infections

Changsha – Hunan provincial CDC yesterday revealed that this year the province saw a rapid growth in the number of AIDS infections. Until September, the province discovered 999 HIV infections, almost as many as the total number over the last 13 years. The provincial CDC revealed that the main reason for this rapid increase in HIV cases was the new push for free HIV testing in the province. As long as it is voluntary, testing at the CDC is free for high risk populations.
