WUHAN, May 22 (Xinhua) -- Central China's Hubei Provincial Disease Prevention
and Control Center is to set up reserve supply of AIDS drugs for emergency use
in 14 cities across the province.
The province has developed an AIDS prevention and control scheme. The reserve
supply across Hubei will help protect police and medical staff in high-risk occupations
from being infected with the AIDS virus, said an official with the center.
The 14 cities include Wuhan, Huangshi, Xianning, Xiangfan, Suizhou, Yichang,
Xiaogan, Shiyan, Shengnongjia, Enshi, Huanggang,Jingmen and Qianjing.
Previously, the province had only one AIDS drug reserve supply store in Wuhan,
which cannot cope with the increased AIDS infection rate. Enditem
