According to Xinhua, the recently released Ministry of Health and Minstry of Finance trial regulation “Methods for Reduced Fee and Free Medicines for Treating AIDS and Common Opportunistic Infections”, those with HIV/AIDS who have financial hardships will receive free anti-retroviral treatment. The list of free anti-retroviral medicines is as follows: Zidovudine (AZT); Stavudine(D4T); Didanosine (ddI); Lamivudine(3TC); Nevirapine(NVP); and Indinavir (IDV).
